JVC Car CD Player KDS23

no mids just bass

i instaled this unit in a 2001 tahao with out boss system a have a four ch amp as well a bass amp it played ok and then highs and mids stop working note bass amp played ok i hooked up high and mid amp to factory speaker harness the amp has no pro techtion lights on is this the head unit or do i have a factory booster amp some ware in th truck
