Troubleshooting
If you have problems operating your navigation system, refer to this section. The most common
problems are listed below, along with likely causes and solutions. While this list is not comprehen-
sive, it should answer your most common problems. If a solution to your problem cannot be
found here, contact your dealer or the nearest authorized Pioneer service facility.
Problems in the screen

Power doesn’t turnon. The navi-
gation system doesn’t operate.
Leads and connectors areincor-
rectly connected.
Confirm once more thatall connections are
correct.
The fuseis blown. Rectify the reasonfor the fuse blowing, then
replace thefuse. Be very sure to install a cor-
rect fusewith the same rate.
Noise andother factors arecausing
the internal memory to operatein-
correctly.
Refer to“Page 187”and carry outappropriate
measures.
The hard diskdrive is notworking
because the temperatureis extre-
mely low or high.
Wait untilthe temperature inside the vehicle
falls or rises.
When the ignitionswitch is
turned ON (orturned to ACC),
the motor sounds.
This system confirmswhether a
disc is loadedor not.
This isa normal operation.
The navigation doesnot boot up. The powercable is notwired cor-
rectly.
Turn the systemoff and thecheck the wiring.
The hard diskdrive is notrunning
because the temperatureis too low.
Wait untilthe inside of the vehicle warms up.
The hard diskdrive is defective. Consult your authorizedPioneer dealer.
