Cd-changer is not playing mp3's, tried resetting remote & changer, didn't help...

Hi, my cd-changer stopped playing mp3's, I tried resetting the changer itself and also the remote, but I'm not sure if I did the procedure accordingly, can you tell me if there could be another reason for it to be malfunctioning?
