I have an KD-R850BT unit that isn't working correc...

I have an KD-R850BT unit that isn't working correctly. After installation it sounds like there is a short in the unit. After my battery died now the sales pitch keeps flashing across the screen and doesn't dim when the lights are turned on, which is very distracting. how can I change the settings for the display to lock them in place?
