JVC kw-avx640 won't play iPod Classic. It reads it...

JVC kw-avx640 won't play iPod Classic. It reads it and displays the art and even shows the song playing on the screen but produces zero sound. Everything else on the stereo plays sound; FM, CD, DVD and even the 1/8 jack audio input with the same iPod. Just no iPod sound with USB. I have all settings set to iPod. What could cause this?
