Question About JVC Car Video System KD-AVX44
Installation of JVC DVD player...

I am about to install a JVC KD-AVX44 player. The yellow (unswitched) power wire has a little black plastic box inline. It contains a choke (RF filter?) and space on the circuit board for a diode. Why is the diode missing?! Under what circumstances should the diode be fitted? Thanks.
