Cannot get the Sirius CH 00 to come up using the d...

Cannot get the Sirius CH 00 to come up using the directions, any suggestions? I get the Sirius logo and ch 184 but when I push tune I do not get the "DIRECT" display and cannot proceed to the ESN to acitivate. Very frustrating.
