5 Depends on a few things:- If your Head Unit has a separate sub out (ideal situation, either 4 rcas or 2 will do), I would suggest a 4 channel bridgeable amp (dedicated sub amp is what you want here) to run your subs through your sub out and a std 2 channel amp for your speakers. If your are using 4 speakers, run could run a std 4 channel amp for for all of your speakers as well If no sub out and you are only using two speakers in total, you will have to run a four channel amp using one channel per speaker (2 for your speakers and 1 each for your subs). Make sure the amp has a low pass filter on at least two channels. If you are running 4 speakers and their is no sub out on the head unit, suggest you upgrade your head unit. It can be done without a sub-out but you will a lot of sound volume and clarity. Even with only two speakers, your subs will not make full potential running off a single channel compared to running them bridged over two channels
