Question About Roadmaster Car Stereo System VR500CS-BT

i really have two questons. the first is that the light of the panel on my stereo is always on. whats that from? the other is that i have a sound system in my car. i know its the head unit. when ever my car is on my subwoofers pop, but it doesn't pop when just the power is on. whats causin this to happen?
