since 2009 I've installed and uninstalled and reinstalled the SIR-GM1 unit according to Sirius install instructions. I replaced the factory battery after repeated failures with a new OE equivalent battery, which failed within a year of purchase. Now the 2nd new battery is being drained. The only thing we haven't been able to confirm is if the Sirius unit could be intermittently or regularly draining the battery.
