Addendum to the WAAS/GUS Receiver
Subsystem User Manual (OM-20000015 Rev 2)
ADD-019 Rev 1 June 9, 2000
Your Mini WAAS receiver is configured differently than a WAAS
receiver. As a result, any references to MEDLL (L1 - C/A), in the
above manual, do not apply.
The L1 - C/A port:
• is active when reloading software (using LOADER or
UPDATE, see the Firmware Upgrades chapter of the above
manual).
• is disabled for all user input (does not respond to any command
or log input) other than the LOADER and UPDATE
commands, see point above.
• ouputs the VERA log every 100 seconds at a rate of 9600 bps.
Here is an example of the VERA log’s syntax and output:
$VERA week seconds version*xx [CR][LF]
$VERA,37,492999.60,OEM-2 WAASMINI CGC96220002 HW 1 SW
5.444S8/1.03 May 02/00*36
NOTE: Although the MEDLL (L1 – C/A) receiver subsystem does not output any
measurement data, it is functionally active when time synchronizing the Mini
WAAS receiver.
