Here are several basic display operations you should become familiar with when
using your display:
Turning on the display:
Plug the display’s power cord into a power source, and wait 30 seconds before
pressing the button to turn on the display and PC together.
Turning off the display:
From the Windows 8 START menu, press the POWER button on the remote control
to see the message in the image below. Press the power button again to turn off
both the display and PC.
Using the Windows button:
With the display on, you can press the WINDOWS button on the remote control to
jump back and forth between the desktop screen and the Windows 8 Start menu, or
back and forth between the current and previous screens.
Entering Standby mode:
To enter standby mode, touch the WINDOWS button on the lower left-hand corner
of the desktop screen or press the WINDOWS button on the remote control. Select
OFF. This will turn off the PC, but the display will still be on.
Exiting Standby mode:
From Standby mode you can turn on the PC by pressing the INPUT button to switch
back to the PC source. Both the display and the PC will now be on.
