Tone Controls
The BASS and TREBLE tone controls on Channel 1 and Channel 2 permit a wide range of adjust-
ment. Increase or decrease the BASS control to affect low frequency information, the TREBLE
control for high frequency information.
Please note that due to the great variance between possible signal sources, it may be possible
to distort the signal by adjusting the BASS or TREBLE control to an excess level.
The PIANO CONTOUR switch optimizes Channel 1’s response for piano. In the depressed
position (OFF) the response is similar to the other channels.
External Effects
The EFX SEND control on Channel 1, Channel 2, and Channel 3 route signals to the EFFECTS
SEND output jack. To use the effects loop connect the EFFECTS SEND jack to the input of the
effects unit. Use the EFFECTS RETURN jack to return the signal from the output of the effects
unit.
Line Out
The LINE OUTPUT signal from the XLR and phone jack are at mixer level. This signal level is not
affected by the setting of the MASTER volume control. The LINE OUTPUT signal can be used to
feed a console or an amplifier.
Limiter
The LIMITER prevents audible power amplifier clipping. Just before extended clipping occurs the
signal is reduced to prevent audible clipping. The LIMITER allows clear playing at high output
levels. The limiter affects only the speaker outputs.
Extension Speaker
An external speaker can be connected via the EXTENSION SPEAKER jack on the back panel. The
minimum impedance of the external speaker load is 4-Ohms. The output jack is in parallel with
the internal speaker so that the internal speaker will continue to operate when an extension cabi-
net is used. The power amplifier is electronically and thermally protected against unsafe loads.
Headphones
Headphones can be connected to the Yorkville 200KB by inserting a headphone plug into the
PHONES jack on the front panel. While headphones are connected, the internal speaker (and
extension speaker) output are disabled. Always use a stereo headphone plug or the output will be
nullified. With a stereo headphone the same mono signal will be heard in each ear.
*Caution: Always exercise caution when using headphones to avoid permanent hearing loss.
Power
The LED beside the power switch will light when the unit is on.
Cord Wrap
Located on the rear chassis of the 200KB is a special Velcro®-Cord Wrap. This is provided to
help tie your power cord while transporting your unit.
