user-programmeddatatransfersbetweentheinternaldatamemorycontrollerandthedeviceperipherals
ontheC672xDSP.ThedMAXallowsmovementofdatato/fromanyaddressablememoryspace,
includinginternalmemory,peripherals,andexternalmemory.ThedMAXcontrollerintheC672xDSPhas
adifferentarchitecturefromthepreviousEDMAcontrollerintheC621x/C671xdevices.
ThedMAXcontrollerincludesfeatures,suchascapabilitytoperformthree-dimensionaldatatransfersfor
advanceddatasorting,capabilitytomanageasectionofthememoryasacircularbuffer/FIFOwithdelay
tapbasedreadingandwritingdata.ThedMAXcontrolleriscapableofconcurrentlyprocessingtwo
transferrequests(providedthattheyareto/fromdifferentsource/destinations).
