Adjusting the brightness
(dimmer)
The display brightness will change when
the headlights are turned on/off if your
car sound system is connected as de-
scribed in the installation instructions
and your vehicle is equipped with the
appropriate connections. You can ad-
just the display brightness separately for
night and day in steps ranging from 1 -
9.
In addition, you can select the “AUTO
DIM” setting.
The “AUTO DIM” feature is used to ad-
just the car radio's illumination automat-
ically to suit the set cockpit illumination.
Setting “DIM DAY” or “DIM NIGHT”
➮ Press the MENU button 7.
“MENU” appears in the display.
➮ Press the or button 6 repeat-
edly until “DIM DAY” or “DIM
NIGHT” appears in the display.
➮ Press the or button 6 to
switch between the brightness lev-
els.
When you have finished making your
changes,
➮ press the MENU button 7 twice.

Setting the colour of the
display illumination
(Syracuse/Monterrey MP35)
You can adjust the colour of the display
illumination to suit the illumination of
your vehicle cockpit. The primary col-
ours red, green and blue (R-G-B) are
available for this.
Setting a colour for the display
illumination
➮ Press the MENU button 7.
➮ Press the or button 6 repeat-
edly until “DISP COL” appears in
the display.
➮ Press the or button 6.
The menu for setting the colours is dis-
played. “R”, “G” and “B” are displayed
with the current values (0 to 4). The “R”
setting flashes.
➮ Press the or button 6 repeat-
edly until the setting that you want
is displayed after “R”.
➮ Press the or button 6 to
move the selection cursor to the
position after the other colours (“G”
or “B”).
➮ Adjust the other colours to suit your
preferences.
When you have finished making your
changes,
➮ press the MENU button 7 twice.
The settings are saved.
