KeyCard theft protection system
This piece of equipment is supplied with one
KeyCard, though you can also operate the
set with a second KeyCard.
If you have lost your KeyCard or if it was
damaged, you can buy a second / extra card
from your specialised dealer.
When using a second KeyCard, the settings
stored on the first card will be adopted. How-
ever, you can individually store the follow-
ing functions:
Bass, treble, balance and fader settings,
Loudness, TA (traffic announcement vol-
ume), beep volume, lo or dx.
In addition, the settings activated before
switching the radio off, such as the station
tuned in, TA priority, AF, AM ON/OFF and
RM ON/OFF will also remain stored.
This ensures that you will find your basic
settings re-adjusted automatically as soon
as you have inserted your KeyCard.
Putting the unit into operation
Turn on the set.
With the KeyCard tongue sticking out,
introduce the KeyCard into the slot
with the contact area showing up.
The car radio is now ready for operation.
If a wrong KeyCard is inserted, then “CARD
ERR” followed by “WAIT” will appear in the
display. In this case please do not make any
further adjustments.
