The mains plug is used to disconnect TV set from the
mains and therefore it shall remain readily operable.

14 Connection to a television
distribution system (Cable TV etc.)

Apparatus connected to the protective earthing of
the building installation through the mains connection
or through other apparatus with a connection to pro-
tective earthing - and to a television distributio n sys-
tem using coaxial cable, may in some circumstances
create a fire hazard.
To ground the antenna system pr operly, be sure that
the cable grounding is connected with the building's
grounding system. N ote that the connection should
follow IEC 60364-7-707 and IEC 603646-5-548 stan-
dards which require that the grounding should be as
close as possible to the cable connection.
