Preparation:
Connect an iPod with the Direct cable for iPod
(CA-DC300U, option).

* Operation has been confi rmed for software available
at the end of February, 2007. We do not guarantee
proper operation with our future products or upgraded
software.
Note:
Do not attach or detach the iPod while iPod is on.
Noise is generated which could damage the speakers.
Use a holder or other means to ensure the iPod does
not move while the vehicle is in motion.
Do not leave the iPod for long periods of time where
the inside of the vehicle will get hot.
Also refer to the installation manual for the iPod to be
connected.
After turning the engine off (switching from ACC to
OFF), always disconnect the iPod. If the iPod is left
connected, its power may not turn off, causing its
battery to run down.
Please note that no compensation will be provided for
data lost from the iPod while it is used connected to
the main unit.
The iPod is licensed for duplication and playback
of material that is uncopyrighted, or may legally
be duplicated or played for individual private use.
Infringement of copyright is prohibited by law.
Do not connect iPod accessories such as a remote
control unit or headphones while the iPod is
connected to the main unit. They may not function
normally in some cases.
The iPod can only play music data.
The iPod Shuffl e is not compatible.
Switch to iPod
Select [iPod] on the Audiovisual
source operation screen.

The iPod operation screen is displayed.
Plays the track.
Note:
“Communication error” appears until the iPod is
recognized after connecting the iPod, turning on the
power of the main unit, or performing source selection
on the main unit. This indicates there is nothing wrong
with the main unit.
We do not guarantee operation of all the functions of
the iPod to be connected.
Only iPods equipped with a dock connector can be
connected.

Select track
Press .
Press to play from the next track.
Press to play the currently playing track
from the beginning. Press twice or more to play
the preceding track.
Fast forward/Fast reverse
Press and hold .
Fast forward or fast reverse continues while the
button is pressed.
Press and hold
to fast forward.
Press and hold
to fast reverse.
Release to return to normal playback.
Touching and holding [] or [] on
the iPod operation screen will also cause fast
forward/fast reverse.
Shuffl e play
To shuffl e tracks
Select .
Illuminates
when On.
All tracks are played in random order.
Track shuffl e indicator illuminates.
Select again to cancel shuffl e play.
To shuffl e albums
Touch and hold for at least
1 second.
Illuminates
when On.
Albums are played in random order. (Tracks on
albums are not played at random.)
Album shuffl e indicator illuminates.
Select again to cancel shuffl e play.
