To send a video clip via e-mail using a MAPI-compliant e-mail
software such as Microsoft
®
Outlook
®

Note that if this is the first time you are sending a video clip to an
individual, you must also attach a VDO Codec to your message as
described in step 9 below.

Make sure your e-mail software is compatible with MAPI. See the
manual that came with your e-mail software to determine if it is
MAPI compliant.

Make sure your e-mail software is set up to send and receive
mail.Click MAIL.

Click the Start button on the Windows 98 taskbar.

Point to Programs, point to Smart Capture Application, and then
click Movie Player.

Send the previously recorded video clip that appears in the video
image display area or record a new one. To record a new video clip,
see “Capturing a video clip” on page 61.

Click MAIL.

Select the Attach decoder check box the first time you send someone
a video clip.

Choose the compression rate by dragging the slider to the left or the
right. The higher the compression rate, the more the image quality
will deteriorate.

Click Start compression.

Select Yes to confirm the compressed file size.
Move the slider to the right for high compression or to the left for low compression
