4 Press M.C. and hold until the customizing
illumination color setting appears in the dis-
play.
5 Press M.C. to select the primary color.

6 Turn M.C. to adjust the brightness level.
Adjustment range: 0 to 60
# You cannot selecta level below20 for all threeof
R (red),G (green), andB (blue) at thesame time.
# You can alsoperform the sameoperation on
other colors.
Note
You cannot create a custom illumination color
while SCAN, WARM, AMBIENTor CALM is se-
lected.
About MIXTRAX
Only for DEH-X3500UI and DEH-X35UI
MIXTRAX technology is used to insert avariety
of sound effects in between songs, allowing you
to experience your music as a nonstop mixcom-
plete with visual and lighting effects.
Notes
! Depending on the file/song, sound effects
may not be added.
! MIXTRAX includes a MIXTRAX flashing color
mode that when switched on turns theflash-
ing colors on and off in time withthe audio
track. If you find the feature distracting while
driving, please turn MIXTRAX off. Refer to Op-
erations using the MIXTRAXbutton on page 6.
MIXTRAX menu
Only for DEH-X3500UI and DEH-X35UI
1 Press M.C. to display the main menu.
2 Turn M.C. to change the menu option
and press to select MIXTRAX.
3 Turn M.C. to select the MIXTRAX func-
tion.
Once selected, the following MIXTRAX functions
can be adjusted. The function is enabledwhen
MIXTRAX is on.
SHT PLAYBACK(short playback mode)
You can selectthe length of theplayback time.
1 Press M.C. todisplay the settingmode.
2 TurnM.C. to selectthe desired setting.

! RANDOM 3 The patternfor the flashing

pass mode.

The MIXTRAXspecial effects displaycan be turned

Initial menu
1 Press and hold SRC/OFF until the unit
turns off.
2 Press and hold M.C. until the main menu
appears in the display.
3 Turn M.C. to change the menu option
and press to select INITIAL.
Once selected, the initial menu functionbelow
can be adjusted.
SP-P/O MODE(rear output and preoutsetting)
The rearspeaker leads outputand the RCA output
of this unitcan be usedto connect afull-range
speaker orsubwoofer. Select asuitable option for
your connection.
1 Press M.C. todisplay the settingmode.
2 TurnM.C. to selectthe desired setting.
You can selectany one ofthe options inthe fol-
lowing list:
! REAR/SUB.W Select when thereis a full-
range speakerconnected to the rearspeak-
er leadsoutput and thereis a subwoofer
connected tothe RCA output.
! SUB.W/SUB.W Select when there isa
subwoofer connecteddirectly to therear
speaker leadsoutput without anyauxiliary
amp andthere is a subwooferconnected
to theRCA output.
! REAR/REAR Select when thereis a full-
range speakerconnected to the rearspeak-
er leadsoutput and the RCAoutput.
If there isa full-range speakerconnected to
the rearspeaker leads outputand the RCA
output isnot used, you mayselect either
REAR/SUB.Wor REAR/REAR.
