SLA (sourcelevel adjustment)
SLA (Sourcelevel adjustment)lets you adjustthe vo-
lume levelof eachsource toprevent radical changes
in volumewhen switchingbetween sources.
! When selectingFM asthe source, youcannot
switch toSLA.
! Settings arebased onthe FMvolume level, which
remains unchanged.
Before adjustingsource levels,comparethe FM
volume levelwith thelevel of thesource youwish
to adjust.
! The AMvolume levelcan alsobe adjusted with
source leveladjustments.
1 PressM.C. todisplay the settingmode.
2 Turn M.C.to adjustthe sourcevolume.
Adjustment range:+4 to–4
3 PressM.C. toconfirm the selection.
Note
Operation is complete even if the menu is can-
celled before being confirmed.
Initial Settings
1 Press SRC/OFF and hold until the unit
turns off.
2 Press M.C. and hold until the initial set-
ting menu appears in the display.
3 Turn M.C. to select the initial setting.
After selecting, perform the following proce-
dures to set the initial setting.
Clock (settingthe clock)
1 PressM.C. todisplay the settingmode.
2 PressM.C. toselect thesegmentof the clockdis-
play youwish toset.
Hour—Minute
As youselect segmentsof the clockdisplay,the
selected segmentflashes.
3 Turn M.C.to adjustthe clock.
Clock (clockon/off setting)
1 PressM.C. toturn theclock display onor off.
AUX1/AUX2 (auxiliary inputsetting)
Activate thissetting whenusing auxiliarydevice con-
nected tothis unit.
1 PressM.C. toturn AUX onor off.
USB PnP(plug andplay)
This settingallows youto switch yoursource toUSB/
USB-iPod automatically.
1 PressM.C. toturn theplug and playon oroff.
ON –When USBstorage device/iPod iscon-
nected, thesource isautomaticallyswitched to
USB/USB-iPod. Ifyou disconnect yourUSB sto-
rage device/iPod, thisunit’s sourceis turnedoff.
OFF –When USBstorage device/iPod iscon-
nected, thesource isnot switchedto USB/USB-
iPod automatically. Pleasechange thesource to
USB/USB-iPod manually.
Brightness (displaybrightness setting)
1 PressM.C. todisplay the settingmode.
2 Turn M.C.to switchthe brightnesssetting.
High (high)—Low(low)
3 PressM.C. toconfirm the selection.
SW control(rear outputand subwoofersetting)
The rearspeaker leadsoutput (Rear SP)and RCAout-
put (Preout)of thisunit canbe used for full-range
speaker (RearSP:Full/Preout:Rear) orsubwoofer
(Rear SP:SUBW/Preout:SUBW) connection.If you
switch toRear SP:SUBW,you canconnect arear
speaker leaddirectly toa subwoofer withoutusing an
auxiliaryamp.
Initially,Rear SPisset forrear full-rangespeaker con-
nection (Full).When RearSP:Full isselected, youcan
connect theRCA outputto asubwoofer. Inthis case,
you canselect whetherto usethe subwoofer control-
ler’s (lowpass filter, phase)buil t-in Preout:SUBWor
the auxiliary Preout:Rear.
1 PressM.C. todisplay the settingmode.
2 PressM.C. tocycle between asfollowing:
Rear SP/Preout—Full(SUBW)/SUBW(Rear)
3 Turn M.C.to changethe setting.
Rear SP:Full—SUBW
Preout:SUBW—Rear
! Even ifyou changethis setting, thereis no
output unlessyou turnthe subwoofer output
on (referto SWsetting 1(subwooferon/off
setting) onthe previouspage).
! If youchange thissetting,subwoofer output
in theaudio menuwill returnto the factory
settings.
