Setting up the Server for Event Monitoring by the Knowledge Module 6-13
Providing PATROL Agent Information to the pasetup Program
To provide information to the pasetup program through an options menu,
complete the following procedures:
Step 1 Change to the directory where pasetup is installed.
Step 2 Type pasetup to start the setup program.
An options menu appears.
Step 3 Type 1 to add an Agent.
3.A When prompted, type the host name where the PATROL Agent is
running, the port number where the PATROL Agent resides, the
user account name and the password. After completing this step,
you are returned to the options menu.
3.B When the options menu returns, repeat Step 3 for each agent that
you want to enable.
Note
For each agent, you must enter a unique host name and port number.
Step 4 Type 2 to delete an Agent.
4.A Provide the PATROL Agent name and the port number where the
agent resides.
4.B Repeat this procedure for any agents you want to disable.
Step 5 When you finish adding or deleting agents, type 3 to check the
information that you have entered.
