Troubleshooting
What appears to be trouble is not always serious. Check the following points before calling a service center.
For operations with the external components, refer also to the instructions supplied with the adapters used for the
connections (as well as the instructions supplied with the external components).
Symptoms Remedies/Causes
General
No sound comes out of the center speaker.
Center speaker is not activated. ( page 43)
Center speaker is used only for surround playback. No
sound comes out for stereo playback.
No sound comes out of the rear speakers, and
subwoofer.
Rear speakers and subwoofer are not activated. ( page
43)
The monitor is not clear and legible. Sunshine from the windshield may cause this symptom.
Adjust the monitor brightness. (page 11)
“SD Loading Error” appears on the monitor. The SD card is not inserted fully. Fully insert it into the slot
to close the door.
“No Signal” appears. Change the source.
Check the cords and connections.
Signal input is too weak.
The unit does not work at all.
Reset the unit. ( page 3)
FM/AM
AS (Auto Storing) does not work.
Store stations manually. (page 13)
Static noise while listening to the radio. Connect the antenna firmly.
Disc in general
Disc can be neither recognized nor played . Change the disc.
Recordable/Rewritable discs cannot be
played back.
Tracks on the Recordable/Rewritable discs
cannot be skipped.
Insert a finalized disc.
Finalize the discs with the component which you used
for recording.
Playback does not start. Insert the disc correctly again.
The format of files is not supported by the unit.
Playback of DVD Video does not start.
Playback is restricted. Release the restriction. ( page 25)
The playback picture is not clear and legible.
Adjust the monitor brightness. (page 11)
Sound and pictures are sometimes
interrupted or distorted.
Stop playback while driving on rough roads.
Change the disc.
