Installing Radio Bracket in Japanese-made Cars (J-Cars)
On the factory-installed radio bracket, flatten all
the tabs or holes that are not flush (except
those used for screws), using a hammer or
similar utensil.

After aligning the J-Car bracket
with the factory-installed radio
bracket, tighten the screws.
Installing in Toyota cars
If necessary, neatly cut the frame of the trim plate
with an engarving knife or similar utensil, following
the inner grooves on the top and bottom of the plate.
You may have to cut the factory trim bezel as well if it
interferes with the movement of the face plate.
NOTE
Damage to the unit will result
from using screws other than
those provided.

Once you have affixed the factory-installed radio bracket
with the screws, use a standard-tipped screwdriver (not
Philips) or similar utensil to pry the tabs of the J-Car
bracket to make them fit into the holes in the factory-
installed radio bracket (depending on the car make).
