You can select an alphabetic character from the
service list.
Press [1/6].
Press and hold [Control] knob.
Enter the Alphabet Search mode
Select a character using [Control] knob.
Exiting from the Alphabet search mode
Press and hold [1/6].
Notes on Alphabet search
• To search for a character other than A to Z and 1, enter “*”.
10-6. PTY (Program Type)
You can search for a station by selecting a Program
Type.
Press [Control] knob.
Enters the Function setting mode.
Select “Settings” > “PTY Search” using
[Control] knob.

programs.
Speech: Program type indicated by colored letters
Music: Program type indicated by black letters
Press [E] or [F] to select a station.
Exiting from the PTY mode.
Press [1/6].
“NO PTY” display
• When the selected Program Type is not found, “No PTY”
appears. Select another Program Type.
Case where this function cannot be used
• This function cannot be used during reception of a traffic
bulletin or AM broadcast.
10-7. Announcement setup
When a service set to ON begins, it will switch from
receiving any source to receiving announcement.
Press [Control] knob.
Enters the Function setting mode.
Select “Settings” > “ASW Select” using
[Control] knob.

to select the item> (page 9).
Turn [Control] knob to select an
announcement.
Program Type Display
Time table of public transportation “Travel”
Information with lower importance than Alarm “Warning”
News “News”
Weather news “Weather”
Event information “Event”
Unscheduled event information “Special”
Radio program announcement “Rad info”
Sports news “Sports”
Financial and economic news “Finance”
Press [Control] knob.
Pressing the button each time switches the setting
between On and Off.

program type is set to ON.
