Basic Operations
Important
! Handle gently when removing or attaching
the front panel.
! Avoid subjecting the front panel to excessive
shock.
! Keep the front panel out of direct sunlight
and high temperatures.
! To avoid damaging the device or vehicle inte-
rior,remove any cables and devices attached
to the front panel before detaching it.
Removing thefront panel toprotect your unit from
theft
1 Pressthe detach button torelease the front
panel.
2 Pushthe front panel upwardand pull it toward
you.
3 Always keepthe detached front panelin a pro-
tection devicesuch as a protectioncase.
Re-attaching thefront panel
1 Slide thefront panel to theleft.
Make sureto insert the tabson the left sideof
the headunit into the slotson the front panel.
2 Pressthe right side ofthe front panel untilit is
firmly seated.
If you cannotattach the frontpanel to the
head unitsuccessfully, makesure that you are
placing thefront panel onto thehead unit cor-
rectly.Forcing thefront panel into placemay
result in damageto the frontpanel or head
unit.
Turningthe unit on
1 PressS(SRC/OFF) to turn theunit on.
Turningthe unit off
1 Pressand hold S(SRC/OFF)until the unit
turns off.
Selecting asource
1 PressS(SRC/OFF) to cyclebetween:
TUNER (tuner)CD(built-in CD player)USB
(USB)/iPod (iPod)AUX(auxiliary)
Adjusting thevolume
1 TurnM.C. to adjust thevolume.
CAUTION
For safety reasons, park your vehicle when re-
moving the front panel.
Note
When this units blue/white lead is connected to
the vehicles auto-antenna relay control termi-
nal, the vehicles antenna extends when this
units source is turned on. To retract the anten-
na, turn the source off.
Use and care of the remote
control
Using theremote control
1 Point the remotecontrol in thedirection of the
front panelto operate.
When using forthe first time,pull out thefilm
protruding fromthe tray.
Replacing thebattery
1 Slide thetray out on theback of the remote
control.
2 Insert thebattery with theplus (+) and minus
() polesaligned properly.
