Playing backvideos
1 Insert thedisc into thedisc loading slotwith the
label sideup.
Playback willautomatically start.
! If youare playing aDVD or VideoCD, amenu
may appear. Referto Operating theDVD menu on
page 30and PBC playbackon page34.
! When theautomatic playback function ison, the
unit willskip the DVDmenu and automatically
start playbackfrom the firstchapter of thefirst
title. Referto Automatic playback ofDVDs onpage
51.
! While aniPodis connected tothis unit, PIONEER,
OK todisconnect or
(check mark)is displayed
on theiPod.
! When thesource icon isnot displayed, itcan be
displayed bytouching the screen.
! Disconnect headphones fromthe iPod before
connecting itto this unit.
! Depending onthe iPod modeland the amountof
data storedin the iPod,it may takesome time for
playback tobegin.
! Use thetouch panel keysto select theiPodafter
connecting itto this unit.
! No Deviceis displayed whendisconnecting the
iPod.
! If amessage is displayedafter loading adisc con-
taining DivXVOD content, touchPlay.

Fast forwarding orreversing using thebuttons
1 Pressand hold cor d(TRACK/SEEK).
! Fast forward/fast rewindmay not alwaysbe possi-
ble onsome discs. Insuch cases, normalplay-
back willautomatically resume.
Notes
! This DVD player can play back a DivX file re-
corded on CD-R/RWor DVD-R/RW. (Please
see the following section for files that can be
played back. Refer to page 78.)
! Do not insert anything other than a DVD (-R/-
RW) or CD (-R/-RW) into the disc loading slot.
! If the bookmark function is on, DVD playback
resumes from the selected point. For more de-
tails, refer to Resume playback (Bookmark) on
page 33.
! Some operations may not be available while
watching a DVD due to the programming of
the disc. In such cases, the
icon appears
on the screen.
! To ensure proper operation, connect the dock
connector cable from the iPod directly to this
unit.
! While the iPod is connected to this unit, the
iPod cannotbe turnedon or off.
