H To play the contents between the specified
points repeatedly (A-B repeat)
You can play the desired portion repeatedly by specifying it during playback.
1 Whilst a disc is playing, press
the PLAY MODE button.
2 Select the “A-B Repeat” and press ENTER button. Then
select the “A (Start Point)” and press ENTER button. This
registers the start point (A).
3 Select the “B (End Point)” and press ENTER button to
enter the end point (B). This starts A-B repeat from the
start point (A) to the end point (B).

4 After completed the step 3, it will automatically exit the
“Play Mode” screen.
5 To resume normal playback, select “Off” from the
“Play Mode” menu and press ENTER button.
Notes:
I A-B repeat play is disabled on some discs.
I A-B repeat play for DVD is possible only within a title.
I A-B repeat play for VCD is possible only within a track.
I Some scenes on DVD may not allow A-B repeat play.
I A-B repeat play is disabled for VCD in P.B.C. mode.
H To select a title from the top menu of the disc
On a DVD with multiple titles, you can select a title from the top menu.
1 Whilst in the stop or playback mode, press the TOP MENU
button to display its title menu.
2 Use the cursor 5, ∞, 2 or 3 button to select the title you
want.
3 Press the ENTER button to start playing the selected title.
Notes:
I Some DVDs use the term “top menu” instead of “title menu”.
I If the disc you are using does not have a title menu, nothing appears on
the screen even if you press the TOP MENU button.
I The procedure shown here provides only general steps.
I The actual procedure for using the title menu depends on the disc you are
using. See the disc jacket for details.
H To select a subtitle or audio language from
the disc menu
You can select the desired subtitle or audio language and sound system
[Dolby Digital (5.1ch) or DTS sound] on your DVD if it has a disc menu.
1 Whilst in the stop or playback mode, press the MENU
button to display the disc menu.
2 Press the 5, 4, 2 or 3 button to change the setting
and press the ENTER button.
Or use the direct number buttons for some discs.
