Phaser 300X Color Printer

Serial port

The printer’s serial port provides an RS-232 interface connection to PCs and

other hosts. The printer’s serial port has these built-in default settings.

■ Variable (factory default, Switch 7, down)

■ Baud rate — 9600

■ Flagging — Software (XON/XOFF)

■ Parity — None

■ Stop bits — 1

■ Data bits — 8

■ Check parity — False

■ Protocol — Normal

When Switch 7 on the printer’s rear panel is in the down position,

you can change the default setting. To change the serial port’s

settings, you can use the PostScript Level 2 setdevparams

command. Refer to the Phaser 300X Drivers and Utilities Printing

Reference for details.
