Switching printer languages
The Phaser 300X printer can be set to automatically sense the language of the
print job and process it accordingly. This Adobe IntelliSelect™ automatic
language selection feature allows you to send jobs to the printer in different
languages. With automatic language selection enabled, you can
automatically switch between all three languages: PostScript, HP-GL, and
PCL5. You can also set up any printer port to receive one language only. If
you set up a port to receive a particular language only, that port will only
accept jobs of that type.
To enable or disable automatic language selection on a port, send the
appropriate PostScript utility file to the printer. For more information, see
the Phaser 300X Drivers and Utilities Printing Reference.
Note
This utility file is best used only if you plan to switch between all
three languages or if you will mostly be using PCL5.
