Protective Earth Terminal

Risk of electric shock. The product shall be grounded using a grounding wire. Make sure both ends of the grounding wire
are in contact with their respective grounding surfaces.
Make sure the grounding wire is as short as possible to make the current path as short as possible.
Network Connector

The product shall be connected using a shielded network cable (STP). All cables connecting the product to the network shall
be intended for their specic use. Make sure that the network devices are installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s
instructions. For information about regulatory requirements, see Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) on page 2 .
Control Button
For location of the control button, see Hardware Overview on page 6 .
The control button is used for:
Sending out a test tone that calibrates the Auto Speaker Test. Press and release the control button.
Resetting the product to factory default settings. See page 30.
Connecting to an AXIS Video Hosting System service. See page 25. To connect, press and hold the button for about 3
seconds until the Status LED ashes green.
Connecting to AXIS Internet Dynamic DNS Service. See page 25. To connect, press and hold the button for about 3 seconds.
Microphone Disable Switch
For location of the microphone disable switch, see Hardware Overview on page 6 .
The microphone disable switch is used to mechanically turn the microphone ON or OFF. The factory default setting for this switch
is ON.
LED Indicators
Status LED

Unlit
Unlit for normal operation (can be useful in making the Axis product less noticeable).
Green Steady green for normal operation.
Amber
Steady during startup and when restoring settings.
Red
Slow ash for failed upgrade.
