Firmware Upgrade
KH1508i / KH1516i Mainboard Upgrade
New firmware upgrade packages are posted on our website as they become
available. Check the website regularly to find the latest packages and
information relating to them. This chapter explains how to upgrade the
KH1508i / KH1516i’s mainboard firmware.
Note: When you upgrade the mainboard firmware, you must upgrade the
browser firmware to the latest version (if it isn’t already at the latest
version). Upgrading the browser firmware is described on page 56.
Before You Begin
To prepare for the firmware upgrade, do the following:
1. From a computer that is not part of your KVM installation go to our
website and choose the model name that relates to your device to get a list
of available firmware upgrade files.
2. Choose the mainboard firmware upgrade file and download it to your
computer. It will have a name like kh1508i-1516i_main_v.xxxx.exe
(where xxxx stands for the version number). The higher the number the
newer the file.
3. Use the Firmware Upgrade Cable (provided with this unit), to connect a
COM port on your computer to the Firmware Upgrade Port of the
KH1508i / KH1516i.
