Enjoying Pro Logic II modes
You can use Dolby Pro Logic II modes for reproducing
spacious sound from 2 channel sources except DivX/
MPEG1/MPEG2 discs.
Follow the steps 1 and 2 on page 29, then...
1 Select the Pro Logic II mode.
Displays more options.
• Off: Applies no effect.
• Pro Logic: Selects Pro Logic; suitable for sources
encoded with Dolby Surround.
• PLII Matrix: Selects Pro Logic II Matrix; suitable
for monaural sound or for playing selected
audio channel of, for example, Karaoke VCD.
• PLII Movie: Selects Pro Logic II Movie; suitable
for movie.
• PLII Music: Selects Pro Logic II Music; suitable
for music.
2 Activate the selected Pro Logic II mode.
• Off: Deactivates the Pro Logic II mode.
• On: Activates the selected Pro Logic II mode.
• Auto: Activates appropriate Pro Logic II mode
for the playback source (Pro Logic/PLII Matrix/
PLII Movie/PLII Music).
3 Finish the procedure.

can add or adjust the effect—Panorama, Center
Width, Dimension control. (☞ page 44)
