Press the 38 button.
The security code will be set.
"CODE ✽✽✽✽1" appears in the display, asking you to enter the
code once again for confirmation, and then you can start
inputting the code.
Press the Preset button and input the security code again.
Press the 38 button again.
"CODE WRITE" will appear in the display, with the security code
function turning on. From this point on, if the unit is
disconnected from the battery, the security code must be
entered the first time that the unit's power is turned on.
"CODE" will appear in the display, asking you to input the code.
If you input an incorrect security code, the display ask you once
more to input the correct one. Follow the procedure in step 6
above.
If you press the RESET button or remove the battery:
The first time you turn the unit on again, "CODE ✽✽✽✽" will
appear in the display, asking you to input the security code.
Repeat steps 8 and 9 above, and input the security code.
You can start operating the unit again when "CODE OK!"
appears in the display.
If you enter the incorrect code, the power will turn off. Enter
the correct code to turn the unit on.

You can switch the display during the standby mode as
mentioned below.
Switching the Display During the Standby Mode:
Each time you press the DISP button during the standby mode,
the display switches as follows:

Sliding the panel:
Press the ANGLE button.
Each time you press the ANGLE button, the panel will slide
one step at a time.
If the power is turned off, the panel will close automatically.
When you turn the power back on, the panel angle will return to
the adjusted angle position.
Closing the panel:
Press the 5RETURN button to close the panel.
The sound will be muted while the panel is sliding during the tape
mode.
• Take care that your fingers and so on do not get caught during
the slide operation of the front panel.
• When the front panel has been slid, it might interfere with the
shift lever or something else. If this happens, pay attention to
safety and move the shift lever or take an appropriate action,
then operate the unit.
• Do not apply excessive force to the front panel after it slides.
