1 Folder number indicator
Shows the folder number currently playing
when playing a WMA/MP3/WAV disc.
2 Playtime indicator
Shows the elapsed playing time of the cur-
rent track (file).
3 Track number indicator
Shows the track (file) number currently play-
ing.
! If a tracknumber 100 or more is selected,
d on the left of the track number indica-
tor will light.
4 RPTindicator
Shows when repeat range is selected to cur-
rent track (file).
5 WMAindicator
Shows when a WMA file is playing.
6 MP3indicator
Shows when an MP3 file is playing.
1 Insert a CD (CD-ROM) into the disc load-
ing slot.
Playback will automatically start.
# Be sureto turn up thelabel side of a disc.
# After a CD (CD-ROM) has beeninserted, press
SOURCE to selectthe built-in CD player.
# You caneject a CD (CD-ROM)by pressing
EJECT.
2 Press a or b to select a folder when
playing a WMA/MP3/WAV disc.
# You cannotselect a folder thatdoes not have
a WMA/MP3/WAV file recordedin it.
# To return to folder01 (ROOT), press andhold
BAND. However, if folder 01(ROOT) contains no
files, playback commences withfolder 02.
3 To perform fast forward or reverse,
press and hold c or d.
# If you select ROUGH, pressing and holdingc
or d enablesyou to search every 10 tracksin the
current disc (folder).(Refer to Searching every 10
tracks in thecurrent discor folder onpage 12.)
4 To skip back or forward to another
track, press c or d.

! If an errormessage such as ERROR-11is dis-
played, refer toUnderstanding built-in CD
player error messages onpage 24.
! There is sometimesa delay between starting
up disc playbackand the sound beingissued.
When being read,FRMTREAD is displayed.
! When playing CD-EXTRAor MIXED-MODE
CDs, WMA/MP3/WAVand CD-DA can be
swithced by pressingBAND.
! If you have switchedbetween WMA/MP3/
WAV files andaudio CD-DA, playback startsat
the first trackon the disc.
! The built-in CDplayer can play backa WMA/
MP3/WAV filerecorded on CD-ROM. (Refer to
page 25 for files thatcan be played back.)
! When playing backVBR (variable bit rate)re-
corded files, erapsedplay time may notbe dis-
played correctly.
! When playing WMA/MP3/WAV disc,there is
no sound onfast forward or reverse.
