# To return to theplayback display, pressBAND.

Repeating play
Repeat play plays the same track/folder within
the selected repeat play range.
1 Press FUNCTION to select RPT.
2 Press c or d to select the repeat range.
DSC – Repeat all tracks
TRK – Repeat just the current track
FLD – Repeat the current folder
# If you select another folderduring repeat play,
the repeat playrange changes to discrepeat.
# When playing CD,performing track searchor
fast forward/reverse cancels therepeat play auto-
matically.
# When playing WMA/MP3/WAV disc,perform-
ing track searchor fast forward/reverse during
TRK (track repeat)changes the repeat playrange
to folder repeat.
# When FLD (folderrepeat) is selected, itis not
possible to playback a subfolder ofthat folder.
Playing tracks in random order
Random play plays tracks in a random order
within the selected repeat range.
1 Select the repeat range.
Refer to Repeating play on this page.
2 Press FUNCTION to select RDM.
3 Press a to turn random play on.
RDM:ON appears in the display. Tracks will
play in a random order.
# To turn randomplay off, press b.
Note
If you turn randomplay on during FLDand then
return to theplayback display, FRDM appearsin
the display.
Scanning tracks or folders
Scan play searches the song within the se-
lected repeat range.
1 Select the repeat range.
Refer to Repeating play on this page.
2 Press FUNCTION to select SCAN.
3 Press a to turn scan play on.
SCAN:ON appears in the display. The first 10
seconds of each track is played.
4 When you find the desired track press
b to turn scan play off.
# If the displayhas automatically returned to
the playback display, select SCAN againby press-
ing FUNCTION.
Notes
! After scanning ofa disc (folder) is finished,
normal playbackof the tracks will begin
again.
! If you turn scanplay on during FLDand then
return to theplayback display, FSCN appears
in the display.
Pausing disc playback
Pause lets you temporarily stop playback of
the disc.
1 Press FUNCTION to select PAUSE.
2 Press a to turn pause on.
PAUSE:ON appears in the display. Play of the
current track pauses.
# To turn pauseoff, pressb.
