LOCATING THE BEGINNING OF A PROGRAM (AMSS) 5, 6, 7....
Thissystem isequipped with afunction that allows youto skipforward or backwardtolocate thebeginning of

1 Press theAMSS button ➆. " is displayed.
2 Press button➄ toskip forwardup to9 selectionsfrom thecurrent locationon thetape.
e.g.)With " displayed,press button➄ three times. " is displayed.
The systemwill searchfor 3blank spacesbetween selectionsin theforward direction,then begin
playingthe thirdselection from thestarting point.
3 Pressbutton➅toskipbackwardtothebeginningofthecurrentselection,orupto8selectionsfromthecurrent
locationon thetape.
e.g.)With " displayed,press button➅ five times. " is displayed.
The system willsearch for 5blank spaces betweenselections in thebackward direction, thenbegin
playingtheforthselectionfromthestartingpoint.(Theblankspacebeforethecurrentselectioncounts
as one blankspace.)
4 To cancelAMSS mode,press button➆again.

S If AMSS detects 15 seconds of blank space, it will automatically advance the tape to
the next selection.
S AMSS may not operate properly if
S A tape was recorded at low level.
S A tape has long, silent intervals.
S A tape is a live recording.

Press RPT ➉during play. Theselection playingwill continue untilRPT ispressed again.
