NOTE
Press the RTN button to return to the previous screen.
4 Press and hold the SETUP button for at least 2
seconds.
The settings are stored and the set up mode is
canceled.
Changing the down sampling
setting
Some DVDs are recorded using a 24-Bit/96 kHz
linear PCM (LPCM) signal. In order to play these
discs, the signal must be downsampled to 48
kHz/16 bit digital signals before being output
from the optical output.
NOTE
When the settings are changed, the old settings are
overwritten. Make a note of the current settings before
making changes. The settings are not cleared even when
the vehicle’s battery is disconnected.
1 In the stop mode, press and hold the SETUP
button for at least 2 seconds.
The setup menu appears on the monitor screen.
NOTE
This operation cannot be performed in the PRE-STOP
mode. When the disc is being played, press the button
twice to set the stop mode.
2 Use the Joystick to select “DOWN SAMPLING”,
then press the ENTER button.

3 Move the Joystick up and down to choose “ON”
or “OFF” and, then press the ENTER button.
The digital signals recorded on the DVD disc with
96 kHz/24bit, 96 kHz/20bit, 96 kHz/16bit, 48 kHz/
24bit, 48 kHz/20bit sampling are converted into
digital signals with 48 kHz/16bits sampling for
output from the optical output.
Set to ON at time of shipment from factory.
The digital signals recorded on the DVD disc with
96 kHz/24bit, 96 kHz/20bit, 96 kHz/16bit, 48 kHz/
24bit, 48 kHz/20bit sampling are not converted
into digital signals with 48 kHz/16bits sampling.
There is no output from the optical output.

Tips
Changing the rating level temporarily
Some discs may request that you
change the rating level set in the default
settings during playback. In this case,
the following message appears on the
monitor screen:

If this screen appears, change the level
as follows:
• To change parental level and play,
press the ENTER button.
• To play without changing the
parental level, press the button.
(When the button is pressed,
playback will be at the parental level set
with “Setting Parental Lock.” )
