Operation
Power
Press the power button (1), or any other button on the front of the radio (except Open/Eject),
to turn the unit on. Press the power button again to turn the unit off.
Display (DISP)
Press the DISP/MENU button (30) to switch between the default display and EQ Animation.
Mode
Press the MODE button (2) to select a different mode of operation, as indicated on the display
panel. Available modes include Tuner, CD, CD changer (optional) and Aux (auxiliary). CD
mode only appears in the menu if a CD is present in the CD player. CD changer mode only
appears if a CD changer is connected to the unit.
Audio Mute
Press the mute button (3) to mute the audio volume. “Mute” appears on the display. Press
the button again to restore the volume to the previous setting.
Volume Control
To increase the volume, press the up (+) joystick button (5). To decrease the volume, press the
down (-) joystick button (6). When the volume is adjusted, the volume level is shown on the
display panel as a number ranging from “00” (lowest) to “46” (highest).
Audio Menu
NOTE: The audio setting and parameters for Bass, Middle, Treble, Loud, Subwoofer, 3D
Gain, Balance, Fader and Beep Tone are automatically memorized for each source
(Tuner, CDP, CDC, and AUX) independently.
Press the AUDIO button (4) to access the Audio Menu. Once the Audio Menu is displayed,
press the AUDIO button repeatedly to step through the menu of audio functions. When
adjusting audio functions, the unit automatically exits the audio control mode after ten seconds
of inactivity.
2-Zone (Dual Zone)
See “Dual Zone Operation” on page 20.
Bass
When in the Bass menu, use the left ( ) or right ( ) joystick button to select the Bass
parameter you would like to adjust.
• LEVEL: Use the up (+) or down (-) joystick button to adjust the bass level from “-6” to “+6”.
• C.FREQ: Use the up (+) or down (-) joystick button to adjust the bass center frequency
(C.FREQ) to “60Hz”, “80Hz”, “100Hz”, or “200Hz”.
• BASS-Q: Use the up (+) or down (-) joystick button to adjust the Bass Quality Factor to
“2N”, “1N”, “1W” or “2W”.
NOTE: For quick access to “BASS” once inside the Audio menu, press INT/2.
