Managing Incoming Calls
In stand-by mode (Tuner, CDP, CDC or AUX), the PHONE button (25) illumination is blue.
When there is an incoming call, the LCD will display “Answer? + Caller ID” and blink
continuously. If the incoming call has no caller ID, the LCD will display “Answer? + Unknown
Number”. The PHONE button will also blink.
NOTE: When a call comes in during stand-by mode (ignition on/power off), the head unit
will turn on automatically so you can accept/reject the call.
NOTE: When a call comes in during talking mode, the OPEN/EJECT button (31)
becomes deactivated.
Answering an Incoming Call
To answer the incoming call, press the PHONE button (25).
NOTE: During an incoming call, the audio output is muted and a ringtone is played. CD
play is paused.
To increase the volume, press the up (+) joystick button (5). To decrease the volume, press the
down (-) joystick button (6).
To end the conversation, press the PHONE button (25) or CLEAR button (26). The LCD will
display the call duration for 3 seconds, then the unit will return to the previous mode. The
illumination of the PHONE button will return to blue.
Rejecting an Incoming Call
Press the CLEAR button (26) to reject an incoming call.
Making an Outgoing Call
1. Press the PHONE button (25) to begin an outgoing call. The LCD will display “Call...” and a
cursor will blink while waiting for the phone number entry. The illumination of the PHONE
button will change to “RED” and continue blinking.
2. Use the 0-9, *, and # buttons (21-20) to input the phone number.
Press the CLEAR button (26) to clear the last digit, or use the left ( ) or right ( ) joystick
buttons to move the cursor back or forward to the incorrect input digit. Press the CLEAR
button to erase the incorrect digit, or press and hold CLEAR to erase all input digits.
3. After entering the phone number, press the PHONE button to dial the call. The illumination
of the PHONE button will change to “RED” and stop blinking. While dialing, the LCD will
display “Calling + Phone Number”.
NOTE: The audio output will only be muted after the PHONE button is pressed to dial
the outgoing call.
NOTE: During an outgoing call or during talking mode, the OPEN/EJECT button (31)
becomes deactivated.
During talking mode, the LCD will display the duration “0:00:00” of the conversation. To
increase the volume, press the up (+) joystick button (5). To decrease the volume, press the
down (-) joystick button (6).
