Dual Zone Operation
Dual Zone (2- ZONE), the first function on the audio menu, is turned “Off” by default. To turn
Dual Zone on, press the AUDIO button (4) to access the Audio Menu. Within ten seconds of
accessing the audio control menu, press the up (+) joystick button to turn the Dual Zone
function “ON”. The audio output is muted for about 1 second after “ON” is selected.
Default Settings when Dual Zone is “ON”
The default source for the front zone is “Tuner”
The default source for the rear zone is “CDP”.
The default Volume level is “12” for both front and rear zone audio output.
The LCD display is defaulted to display the front zone mode.
NOTE: When Dual Zone is “ON”, the Bass, Treble, Middle, Balance, Fader, Sub-woofer,
Loudness, and 3DGain features cannot be modified.
Selecting Rear/Front Sources
To select different front/rear sources, press the left ( ) or right ( ) joystick button (7 or 8) to
move to the “Rear” or “Front” zone fields. Press the up (+) or down (-) joystick button to
navigate through the following modes: Tuner > CDP > CDC > AUX.
“AUX” and “CDC” are considered the same source when Dual Zone is activated. If the rear or
front source is set to “AUX” or “CDC” mode, the other zone cannot be set to “AUX” or “CDC”.
The highlighted bar remains on the selected mode for ten seconds or until another field is
selected. After ten seconds, the menu disappears and Dual Zone is activated.
NOTE: You can select front and rear sources even when Dual Zone is turned “OFF”.
Default Settings when Dual Zone is “OFF”
When Dual Zone is turned off, the default audio output reverts to what the user selected for the
front zone source. For example, while Dual Zone was turned “ON “, the user selected “CDP”
for the front zone and “Tuner” for the rear zone. Once Dual Zone is turned “OFF”, audio output
for all 4 speakers becomes “CDP”.

The front panel and remote control are defaulted to control the front source. When DUAL
ZONE is turned on, the MODE button (2) is used to change between the front and rear
sources. Press the MODE button repeatedly to change between front and rear mode.

displays the rear source mode for ten seconds. You must make any desired changes to the
rear zone source within ten seconds, or the LCD automatically returns to the front source and
the front panel and remote resume control of the front zone source.
