Making an Outgoing Call (continued)
To end the conversation, press the PHONE button (25) or CLEAR button (26). The LCD will
display the call duration for 3 seconds, then the unit will return to the previous mode. The
illumination of the PHONE button will return to blue.
If the ignition is turned off during a call, the unit will remain on, allowing you to complete the
call, until you press the PHONE or CLEAR button to turn the unit off. The unit will continue
to operate on battery power until it is turned off.
Voice Dialing
Press and hold the TRANSFER button (27) to activate the voice dialing function. The LCD will
display “VOICE DIALING ”. Once “VOICE DIALING ” is displayed on the LCD, you have 10
seconds to speak the name as recorded in the mobile phone Voice Dial list.
After the 10 second time out, the unit will switch back to the previous mode automatically.
If the number is recognized, the unit will repeat the number and make the call. The LCD will
display '”VOICE DIALING” and continue blinking.
If the unit cannot recognize the number, the LCD will display “VOICE DIALING”, follow by “NO
MATCH”. “NO MATCH” will blink on the LCD for 10 seconds. To try voice dialing again, press
and hold the TRANSFER button (27) within 10 seconds. If a key is not pressed within 10
seconds, the unit automatically returns to previous mode.
NOTE: The Voice Dialing function is only available if the mobile phone has Voice Dialing
capabilities.
NOTE: For best performance, it is highly recommended that the Voice for calling should
be recorded inside the Car to ensure recognition by the mobile phone system.
Call Waiting
Under talking mode, if there is a second incoming call, "Call Waiting" will flash on the display.
To answer the second call, press the PHONE or CLEAR button (25/26) to terminate the
present call. After 2 seconds, the second incoming call will be answered automatically. The
unit cannot hold the first when you change calls during Call Waiting mode.
NOTE: “Call Waiting” will blink on the LCD for 15 seconds. After 15 seconds, “Call
Waiting” will not be displayed, even if the second line is still calling.
Call Transfer
While talking, to transfer audio from the head unit back to the mobile phone, press the
TRANSFER button (27). The LCD will display “CALL TRANSFER” on the LCD for 3 seconds.
When making an outgoing call, it's not possible to transfer the call if it is not yet answered. If
you press the TRANSFER button while the call is being dialed, the LCD will display "Phone is
busy". You can only transfer a call after it has been answered.
