Searching for a desired
scene, starting playback
from a specified time
You can use the search function to search for
a desired scene by specifying a title or chapter,
and the time search function to specify the
time on a disc at which play starts.
! Chapter search and time search are not
possible when disc playback has been
stopped.
1 Touch SEARCH.
2 Touch TITLE (title), CHAP. (chapter) or
TIME (time).
3 Touch 0 to 9 to input the desired num-
ber.
For titles and chapters
! To select3, touch 3.
! To select10, touch 1 and 0 in thatorder.
! To select23, touch 2 and 3 in thatorder.
For time (time search)
! To select21 minutes 43 seconds, touch 2, 1,
4 and 3 inthat order.
! To select1 hour 11 minutes, convert the
time into 71 minutes00 seconds and touch
7, 1, 0 and 0 in that order.
# To cancelthe inputted numbers, touch C.
4 While the inputted number is dis-
played, touch ENTER.
This starts playback from the selected scene.
Notes
! With discs featuringa menu, you can also
touch MENU or TOPMENU and then make
selections from thedisplayed menu.
! With some discs,the icon
may be dis-
played, indicating thattitles, chapters and
time cannot be specified.
Specifying title
You can use the direct search function to
search for a desired scene by specifying a title.
1 Touch 10KEY.
# This feature is availableonly when the play-
back is stopped. If youare playing back a disc,
touch g to stopthe playback and then touch
10KEY.
2 Touch 0 to 9 corresponding to a desired
title number.
! To select3, touch 3.
! To select10, touch 1 and 0 in thatorder.
! To select23, touch 2 and 3 in thatorder.
3 While the inputted number is dis-
played, touch
.
Title number is displayed for eight seconds
and playback starts from the selected title.
Note
To perform this functionwith the remote control,
switch the remote controloperation mode to
DVD. (Refer toUsing the remote control operation
mode switch on page20.)
Changing audio language
during playback (Multi-audio)
DVDs can provide audio playback with differ-
ent languages and different systems (Dolby Di-
gital, DTS etc.). With DVDs featuring multi-
audio recordings, you can switch between lan-
guages/audio systems during playback.
% Touch AUDIO during playback.
Each time you touch AUDIO it switches be-
tween audio systems.
