Function of DPX-U5120/ DPX-MP3120
Clock Adjustment
You can adjust the clock and date.

Enter Clock adjustment mode
Press the [B.BOOST] button for at least 1
second.
The hour display blinks.

Adjust the hour
Turn the [VOL] knob to adjust the hour, and
then press the [VOL] knob.
The minute display blinks.

Adjust the minute
Turn the [VOL] knob to adjust the minute, and
then press the [VOL] knob.
Finish the Clock Adjustment.
Initial Settings
You can select the following Initial Setting items.

Select the Standby
Press the [SRC] button.
Select the “STDBY”/ “STANDBY” display.

Enter Function setting mode
Press the [VOL] knob.

Enter Initial Setting mode
Turn the [VOL] knob and press it when the
desired item is displayed.
Select “Initial Settings”/ “INITIAL SET”.

Select the setting item to adjust
Turn the [VOL] knob.

“Source Select” *
Sets the source selection method.
Select “2” to change the source selection
method. Press the [SRC] button, turn the [VOL]
knob to select the source, and then press the
[VOL] knob to determine it.
“Settings 1”/ “2”
“Tuner Preset
Type”/ “PRESET
TYPE”
Sets the Tuner preset type.
“Type Normal”/ “TYPE NORMAL”: 1 station
can be assigned to 1 preset button in each
of 4 bands (FM1, FM2, FM3, and AM), i.e.,
a total of 24 stations (6 stations x 4 bands)
can be preset.
“Type Mixed”/ “TYPE MIXED”: A total of 6
stations can be assigned to a total of 6 preset
buttons regardless of band (FM1, FM2, FM3,
and AM). You can recall a preset station
without switching between bands.
“Beep”/ “KEY
BEEP”
Setting the operation check sound (beep sound)
ON/OFF.
“ON”/ “OFF”
“Chinese” *
When this is set to ON, the following character
strings are displayed in Chinese:
Folder name/ File name/ Song title/ Artist
name/ Album name/ KCA-BT300/BT200
(optional accessory)
“ON”/ “OFF”
“Built in AUX”/
“BUILT-IN AUX”
When this is set to ON, AUX source can be
selected.
“ON”: Allows AUX source to be selected. Use
this setting when the built-in AUX terminal
is connected to the external equipment all
the time.
“OFF”: Disable AUX source selection. Use this
setting when the built-in AUX terminal is
not used.
“Forced CD-DA”/
“CD READ”
Sets the CD read mode.
“Settings 1”/”1”: Automatically distinguishes
between Audio file disc and music CD when
playing disc.
“Settings 2”/”2”: Forces playing as music CD.
“Built in AMP”*
Selecting “OFF” turns off the built-in amplifier.
Turning off the built-in amplifier improves the
quality of the sound from Preout.
“ON”/ “OFF”
“Switchable
Preout”/ “SWITCH
PREOUT”
Switches the preout between rear output and
subwoofer output.
“Rear”/ “REAR”: Rear output
“SubWoofer”/ “SUB-W”: Subwoofer output
“SP SELECT”**
Fine-tuning so that the System Q value is
optimal when setting the speaker type as
follows;
“SP OFF”: Off
“SP 5/4”: For 5 & 4 in. speaker
“SP 6* 9/6”: For 6 & 6x9 in. speaker
“SP OEM”: For the OEM speaker
“System F/W
Update”/ “F/W
UP”
Upgrades the firmware.
Selecting “YES” and then pressing [VOL] knob
starts upgrading the firmware.

Make a setting
Turn the [VOL] knob to select a setting value,
and then press the [VOL] knob.

Exit Function setting mode
Press the [ ] button for at least 1 second.
