FAD/BAL (fader/balanceadjustment)
1 Press M.C. todisplay the settingmode.
2 Press M.C. tocycle between fader(front/rear)
and balance(left/right).
3 TurnM.C. to adjustspeaker balance.
! When therear output andRCA output setting
are SW,you cannot adjustfront/rear speaker
balance. Referto REAR-SP (rear outputsetting)
on thispage. Refer toPREOUT (preout setting)
on thispage.
PRESET EQ(equalizer recall)
1 Press M.C. todisplay the settingmode.
2 TurnM.C. to selectthe equalizer.

LOUD (loudness)
Loudness compensatesfor deficiencies inthe low-
frequency andhigh-frequency ranges at lowvol-
ume.

SUB.W (subwooferon/off setting)
This unitis equipped witha subwoofer output
which canbe turned on oroff.
1 Press M.C. toselect the desiredsetting.
NOR (normalphase)REV (reverse phase)

SUB.W CTRL(subwoofer adjustment)
The cut-off frequencyand output levelcan be ad-
justed whenthe subwoofer outputis on.
Only frequencieslower than thosein the selected
range areoutputted from thesubwoofer.
! When youselect OFFin SUB.W,you cannot se-
lect thisfunction. Fordetails, refer toSUB.W
(subwoofer on/off setting)on this page.

SLA (sourcelevel adjustment)
SLA (Sourcelevel adjustment) letsyou adjust the
volume levelof each source toprevent radical
changes involume when switchingbetween sour-
ces.
! Settings arebased on theFM volume level,
which remainsunchanged.
! The AMvolume level canalso be adjusted with
this function.
! When selectingFM as thesource, you cannot
switch toSLA.

2 TurnM.C. to adjustthe source volume.

3 Press M.C. toconfirm the selection.
Initial settings
1 Press and hold SRC/OFF untilthe unit
turns off.
2 Press M.C. and hold untilfunction name
appears in the display.
3 Turn M.C. to select the initial setting.
After selecting, perform the following proce-
dures to set the initial setting.
CLOCK SET(setting the clock)
1 Press M.C. todisplay the settingmode.
2 Press M.C. toselect the segmentof the clock
display youwish to set.
HourMinute
3 TurnM.C. to adjustthe clock.
AUX (auxiliary input)
Activate thissetting when usingan auxiliary de-
vice connectedto this unit.
1 Press M.C. toturn AUX onor off.
USB PNP(plug and play)
This settingallows you toswitch your source to
USB/iPod automatically.
1 Press M.C. toturn the plugand play function
on oroff.
ON When a USB storagedevice/iPodis con-
nected, dependingon the typeof device, the
source isautomatically switched to USB/iPod
when youturn on theengine. If you disconnect
your USBstorage device/iPod, this units
source isturned off.
OFF When a USB storagedevice/iPodis con-
nected, thesource is notswitched to USB/
iPod automatically. Pleasechange the source
to USB/iPodmanually.
REAR-SP (rearoutput setting)
The rearspeaker leads outputcan be used for full-
range speakeror subwoofer connection.
If you switchto SW,you can connecta rear speak-
er leaddirectly to a subwooferwithout using an
auxiliary amp.
Initially,REAR-SP isset for rear full-rangespeaker
connection (FUL).
1 Press M.C. toselect the desiredsetting.

! Even if youchange this setting,there will
be nooutput if you selectOFF in SUB.W
(Refer toSUB.W (subwoofer on/offsetting)
on thispage).
! If you changethis setting, subwooferout-
put inthe audio menuwill return tothe fac-
tory settings.
PREOUT (preoutsetting)
The RCAoutputs can be usedfor rear speakeror
subwoofer connection.
If you switchto SW,you can connecta rear speak-
er leaddirectly to a subwooferwithout using an
auxiliary amp.
Initially,PREOUT is setfor rear full-range speaker
connection (SW).
1 Press M.C. toselect the desiredsetting.

! Even if youchange this setting,there will
be nooutput if you selectOFF in SUB.W
(Refer toSUB.W (subwoofer on/offsetting)
on thispage).
! If you changethis setting, subwooferout-
put inthe audio menuwill return tothe fac-
tory settings.
DEMO (demodisplay setting)
1 Press M.C. toturn the demodisplay on oroff.
