Taking a phone call
Answering an incoming call
Even when a source other than Telephone is
selected or when this unit itself is turned off,
you can still answer incoming calls. If you set
this unit to automatically answering incoming
calls, refer to Setting the automatic answering
on page 47.
1 When a call comes in, press
MULTI-CONTROL.
# You canalso perform this operation bypress-
ing OFF HOOKon the remote control.
# If the private modeis selected on thecellular
phone, hands-free phoningmay not be per-
formed.
2 To end the call, press PHONE.
The estimated call time appears in the display
(this may differ slightly from the actual call
time).
# You canalso perform this operation bypress-
ing ON HOOKon the remote control.
# You mayhear a noise whenyou disconnect
the phone.
Rejecting an incoming call
You can reject an incoming call. If you want to
set this unit to automatically rejecting all in-
coming calls, refer to Setting the automatic re-
jecting on page 47.
% When a call comes in, press PHONE.
The call is rejected.
# You canalso perform this operation bypress-
ing ON HOOKon the remote control.
# The rejected callis recorded in missedcall
history list. About themissed call history list,
refer to Usingthe Call Histor y on page 44.
Answering a call waiting
If while you are talking on the phone another
call comes in, the number (or name if it is in
your phone book) of the new caller appears in
the display to signal that you have a call wait-
ing. You can put the first caller on hold while
you answer the call waiting, or you can choose
to reject the call, in which case the number is
logged as a missed call.
1 Press MULTI-CONTROL to answer a call
waiting.
# You canalso perform this operation bypress-
ing OFF HOOKon the remote control.
# Pressing MULTI-CONTROL switches between
callers on hold.
2 Press PHONE to end all calls.
Pressing PHONE ends all calls including a call
waiting on line.
# You canalso perform this operation bypress-
ing ON HOOKon the remote control.
# Except for switching betweenthe calls on line,
you cannot endeach call waiting individually.
Pressing PHONE endsall calls.
Rejecting a call waiting
If you would rather not interrupt your current
call to answer a call waiting, you can reject it
and have the number added to the missed call
history list.
! With some cellular phones, this feature
may not be possible.
% Press PHONE to reject a call waiting.
