1 Use MULTI-CONTROL to select
Subwoofer3.
Subwoofer3 appears in the display.
# When the subwooferoutput is on, youcan se-
lect Subwoofer3.
2 Push MULTI-CONTROL up or down to
select the phase of subwoofer output.
Push MULTI-CONTROL up to select normal
phase and
appears in the display. Push
MULTI-CONTROL down to select reverse
phase and
appears in the display.
3 Push MULTI-CONTROL left or right to
select slope.
Each time MULTI-CONTROL is pushed left or
right, slopes are selected in the following
order:
18126 (dB/oct.)
Note
When slope ofsubwoofer and high passfilter are
12dB, and samecut-off frequency, the phaseis
reversed 180 degreesat the cut-off frequency. In
this case, reversingthe phase assures improved
sound continuity.
Using the high pass filter
When you do not want low sounds from the
subwoofer output frequency range to play
from the front or rear speakers, turn on the
HPF (high pass filter). Only frequencies higher
than those in the selected range are outputted
from the front or rear speakers.
Muting the speaker units (filters)
You can mute front and rear speaker units (fil-
ters) separately. When speaker units (filters)
are muted, no sound is outputted from those
speakers.
! If you mute the selected speaker unit (fil-
ter), MUTE ON is displayed and no adjust-
ments are possible.
! Even if any speaker unit (filter) is muted,
you can adjust the parameters for other
speaker units (filters).
1 Use MULTI-CONTROL to select
Front HPF (or Rear HPF).
Front HPF (or Rear HPF) appears in the dis-
play.
2 Push and hold MULTI-CONTROL down
to mute the selected speaker unit (filter).
MUTE ON is displayed.
# To cancel the muting,push MULTI-CONTROL
up.
Setting the high pass filter for
front speakers
1 Use MULTI-CONTROL to select
Front HPF.
Front HPF appears in the display.
2 Push MULTI-CONTROL left or right to
select slope.
Each time MULTI-CONTROL is pushed left or
right, slopes are selected in the following
order:
126Pass (0) (dB/oct.)
# If you set theslope to 0 dB/oct.(Pass), the
audio signal bypassesthe filter, so thefilter does
not have aneffect.
3 Turn MULTI-CONTROL to select
Front HPF FREQ.
Front HPF FREQ. appears in the display.
4 Push MULTI-CONTROL left or right to
select cut-off frequency.
Each time MULTI-CONTROL is pushed left or
right, cut-off frequencies are selected in the
following order:
