Listening to songs on BT Audio

You can use this unit to control a separately
sold portable audio player featuring Bluetooth
wireless technology (Bluetooth audio player).
Even though your audio player does not con-
tain a Bluetooth module, you can still control
it from this unit via Bluetooth wireless technol-
ogy using a Bluetooth adapter (sold sepa-
rately).
Important
! This unit cancontrol a Bluetooth audioplayer
via A2DPor AVRCP profile. Bluetooth audio
players (or Bluetooth adapters)compatible
with those profilescan be connected tothis
unit.
— A2DP profile(Advanced Audio Distribution
Profile): Only playingback songs on your
audio player ispossible.
— AVRCP profile(Audio/Video Remote Con-
trol Profile): Playingback, pausing, select-
ing songs, etc.,are possible.
! Since there area number of Bluetoothaudio
players available onthe market, operations
with your Bluetoothaudio player using this
unit vary in great range.Please refer to thein-
struction manual thatcame with your Blue-
tooth audio playeras well as thismanual
while operating yourplayer on this unit.
! Information about songs(e.g. the elapsed
playing time, songtitle, song index, etc.)can-
not be displayedon this unit.
! While you arelistening to songs onyour Blue-
tooth audio player, please refrain from operat-
ing on yourcellular phone as muchas
possible. If you try operatingon your cellular
phone, the signalfrom your cellular phone
may cause anoise on the song playback.
! When you aretalking on the cellularphone
connected to thisunit via Bluetooth wireless
technology, thesong playback from yourBlue-
tooth audio playerconnected to this unitis
muted.
! Even if while youare listening to songon your
Bluetooth audio player youswitch to another
source, the playbackof song continuesto
elapse.
1 Connectionindicator
Shows the Bluetooth wireless connection
status.
2 Devicename
Shows the device name of the connected
Bluetooth audio player (or Bluetooth adap-
ter).
% Press SOURCE to select Bluetooth audio
player.
Press SOURCE until you see BTAudio dis-
played.
# If you cannot displayBTAudio, first activate
the BTaudiosource in the initialsetting. For de-
tailes, refer toActivating the BTAudiosource on
page 87.
Setting up for Bluetooth
audio player
Before you can use Bluetooth audio player
you will need to set up the unit for use.
1 Activation
Refer to Activating the BTAudio source on
page 87 for instructions on how to turn the
BTAudio on.
