Audio Adjustments
1 Display the audio menu.
Refer to Basic menu operations on page 12.
2 Turn M.C. to select the audio function.
After selecting, perform the following proce-
dures to set the audio function.
Fader/Balance (fader/balanceadjustment)
1 Press M.C. todisplay thesetting mode.
2 Push M.C. upor downto adjustthe front/rear
speaker balance.
Adjustment range(front/rear): Front15 toRear

3 Push M.C. leftor rightto adjust theleft/right
speaker balance.
Adjustment range(left /right): Left 15to Right15
! SelectF/R0 whenonly using twospeakers.
! Whentherear output settingand preoutsetting
are Subwoofer, youcannotadjust front/rear
speaker balance.
Sonic CenterControl (soniccenter control)
Sound thatis suitedfor thelisteningposition can ea-
sily becreated withthis function.
1 Press M.C. todisplay thesetting mode.
2 Push M.C. leftor rightto select alistening posi-
tion.
Adjustment range:Left:7 toRight:7
Auto EQ(auto-equalizer on/off)
The auto-equalizeris an equalizercurvecreated by
auto EQ(refer toAuto EQ(auto-equalizing) on page
33).
You canturn theauto-e qualizer on oroff.
1 Press M.C. toturn theauto-equalizer on oroff.
You cannotuse thisfunction ifauto EQ hasnot been
carried out.
Graphic EQ(equalizer adjustment)
You canadjust thecurrently selected equalizercurve
setting asdesired. Adjustedequalizercurve settings
are storedin Custom1or Custom2.
! AseparateCustom1 curvecan becreatedfor
each source.If youmake adjustments whena
curveother thanCustom2 is selected,the equali-
zer curve settingswill bestored inCustom1 .
! ACustom2curve thatis commonfor allsources
can becreated. Ifyo u make adjustmentswhen
the Custom2curve isselected, theCustom2
curvewill beupdated.

Subwoofer1 (subwooferon/off setting)
This unitis equippedwith asubwooferoutput which
can beturned onor off.
1 Press M.C. toturn subwooferoutput onor off.
Subwoofer2 (subwooferadjustment)
The cut-offfrequencyand outputlevel can bead-
justed whenthe subwooferoutput is on.
Only frequencieslower thanthose in theselected
range areoutputted fromthe subwoofer.
1 Press M.C. todisplay thesetting mode.
2 Turn M.C.to selectthe phaseof subwooferout-
put.
