OS/2 Troubleshooting Steps
Obtain a Configuration Report from your printer.
1. Enter the Tools pathway.
a) Press the Access ( or ) button.
b) On the keypad enter 1111 or the current password. Press
the Enter button when finished. The Touch Screen will
be used for the remainder of the data entry, unless
instructed otherwise.
c) Press the Go to Tools button.
d) Select System Setting.
e) Select Configuration Report.
f) Select Print Configuration Report Now.
g) Press the Cancel button.
h) Press the Exit Tools button.
2. Allow a minute for the Report to print.
3. For OS/2 printing only, VERIFY that LPRPORTD.EXE is
running.
4. For OS/2 and WIN-OS/2 printing, VERIFY that
LPRMON.EXE is running.
5. Verify you have applied all appropriate IBM Fixpacks,
APARs (see compatibility for required Fixpacks). If not, the
proper Fixpack must be applied.
6. Check ALL IP addresses and verify that you have set the
printers address correctly at the User Interface.
7. Go to a workstation and use the ping command to see if
your server responds. If the server does not respond, you may
have an addressing or network problem.
